The Douglas Aircraft Company's A-4 Skyhawk first flew on June 22, 1954. The A-4M model was developed for the Marine Corps. This is a turbojet-powered shipboard attack aircraft capable of delivering nuclear weapons and performing a wide variety of conventional attack missions. During the 1960's the Skyhawk saw extensive action during the Vietnam War.
